LSU Homecoming “Food Fight!” vs. University of South Carolina
Help the LSU Food Pantry keep shelves stocked and bring home a victory against the University of South Carolina’s pantry! From October 1 through game day on October 11, join us for a friendly “Food Fight” competition in celebration of Homecoming to support Tigers in need.
Every gift made or individually wrapped food item collected earns one point for LSU and tackles food insecurity on campus. Let’s show South Carolina the strength of the Tiger community, on the field and beyond.
How will my donation make an impact?
The LSU Food Pantry provides free supplemental food to students in need, helping them focus on academic success and community building on campus. Open to all LSU students, our on-campus pantry operates strictly on donations of excess food recovered from local grocers, farms, and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
Last school year, we distributed 323,000 pounds of food over 45,00 visits. This semester, we’re serving 350-450 students every day. Lines form hours before we open, and shelves are often empty by midday before everyone has had a chance to shop. Your donations help us purchase additional items to meet growing student needs and ensure no Tiger goes hungry.
