The LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool (ECELP) is a model demonstration school committed to providing high-quality early childhood education during the most critical years of development — birth through age five. As a laboratory school, ECELP also plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of educators and professionals. ECELP partners with various colleges and schools across LSU’s campus, such as the School of Music and the School of Social Work. These partnerships allow undergraduate and graduate students to put theory they’ve learned in the college classroom into real-life practice. Additionally, ECELP serves as a research facility that hosts researchers working to advance the field of early childhood education and development.
