Why Your Support Matters
The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine advances animal and human health through excellence in education, clinical care, research, and public service, with a deep commitment to conservation and One Health. Through initiatives like the Wildlife Hospital of Louisiana, LSU Vet Med is protecting Louisiana’s wildlife while educating future veterinarians, scientists, and conservation leaders.
Every day, we are driven by our commitment to Louisiana and the world through animal health, conservation science, interdisciplinary collaboration, and public engagement —efforts that strengthen ecosystems, communities, and learning across Louisiana and beyond.
This LSU Giving Day, your gift will strengthen the winning teams that drive LSU Vet Med to do what it does best: empower Tigers to lead, learn, and make a difference. Thank you for your support.

Your generosity on LSU Giving Day impacts the following priority initiative:
1. Wildlife Hospital Capital Project Fund
The Wildlife Hospital Capital Project Fund supports the construction of the new Wildlife Hospital of Louisiana — a state-of-the-art facility that will elevate wildlife care, expand research, and increase public engagement. The new hospital will include advanced clinical spaces such as operating suites, intensive care wards, diagnostic imaging, and dedicated wards for mammals, reptiles, raptors, and waterfowl. It will also strengthen LSU’s One Health mission through hands-on training and education, helping protect Louisiana’s most precious natural treasures for future generations.
