The School of Music offers rigorous training in instrumental and vocal performance, music education, composition, music therapy, and musicology. Home to award-winning ensembles — including the Symphony Orchestra, A Cappella Choir, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Constantinides New Music Ensemble — LSU is a leader in developing the performers of tomorrow.
The School of Theatre offers comprehensive degrees in acting, design and technology, theatre studies, film and television, and arts administration. Its innovative production schedule includes collaborations with Swine Palace, LSU’s professional theatre company, as well as mainstage and lab shows, annual dance, physical theatre, and film productions, making it one of the most distinctive theatre programs in the Southeast.
The Turner-Fischer Center for Opera is recognized for its exceptional productions and artist training, with alumni performing on some of the world’s greatest stages.
The LSU Department of Bands is home to the world-famous “Golden Band from Tigerland,” which electrifies Tiger Stadium every fall.
With state-of-the-art facilities, world-class faculty, and more than 400 performances annually, CMDA plays a vital role in Louisiana’s cultural landscape.
