The School of Theatre, housed in the College of Music & Dramatic Arts, produces a full season of performances including the LSU Theatre Mainstage, Dance and Physical Theatre Showcase, and Take Film Festival. The School offers a BA in Theatre with concentrations in Arts Administration, Design & Technology, Performance, Physical Theatre, and Theatre Studies, as well as a BFA in Film and Television. Graduate programs include the MFA in Theatre with specializations in Acting and Technology and Design and the PhD in Theatre. With world-class faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, students engage in various productions, from classics to contemporary works. Home to Swine Palace, a professional theatre company, the School fosters artistic innovation and collaboration. Its immersive programs prepare graduates for successful careers in theatre, film, and related industries while promoting community engagement and creative excellence.

The Theatre Support Fund provides funding to enhance the performance and academic activities of the School of Theatre.
