Why Your Support Matters
Construction management is the profession that turns designs into built reality —planning, coordinating, and delivering projects safely, on time, on budget, and to quality standards. For LSU alumni, it’s the daily leadership of people, schedules, contracts, materials, and risk from preconstruction through closeout. It’s how communities get hospitals, highways, schools, plants, and ports that perform.
Your Giving Day gift strengthens the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management by investing directly in student success and industry-ready learning. Support helps expand scholarships, reduce financial barriers to internships and field experiences, and fund competition teams and professional certifications that help graduates stand out on day one. Gifts also help modernize labs, software, and experiential learning opportunities that mirror the tools and workflows students will use in the field.
This Giving Day is also about momentum. LSU is asking the State of Louisiana for approval of a new School of Construction to be housed in the College of Engineering. In addition, design is ongoing for a new Construction and Advanced Manufacturing Building — planned across the street from Tiger Stadium — that would house the school and expand opportunities for workforce development, applied research, and industry partnerships. Together, these efforts position Louisiana to lead a once-in-a-generation transformation of the construction industry.
This LSU Giving Day, your gift will strengthen the winning teams that drive the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management to do what it does best: empower Tigers to lead, learn, and make a difference. Thank you for your support!
